Barnsley and Blackpool remain level at 1-1 after 45 minutes of Championship football on Saturday.

Barnsley and Blackpool sit level at 1-1 after 45 minutes of Championship football at the Oakwell Stadium.

It was the away side who started the stronger and they might have taken the lead with an effort from Matt Phillips after three minutes, but Ben Alnwick made the save.

Kevin Phillips was next to come close for Blackpool after 10 minutes, but he fired wide of the target from inside the box. Barnsley took the lead after 15 minutes, when Craig Davies converted past Matt Gilks.

The away side were level just past the 30-minute mark, however, when Thomas Ince beat the offside trap before producing a cool finish from close range.

Both sides had chances in the latter stages of the half, but the two teams entered the break level.
