Pepe Mel hails Antonio Adan, Ruben Castro

Real Betis boss Pepe Mel lavishes praise on goalkeeper Antonio Adan and leading scorer Ruben Castro for their impressive form this season.

Real Betis boss Pepe Mel has praised Antonio Adan and Ruben Castro for their impressive performances in the early part of the campaign.

Goalkeeper Adan kept his third away clean sheet of the season at the weekend as Betis recorded a 1-0 win over Malaga in La Liga.

Betis's goal at La Rosaleda, meanwhile, was scored by Castro, who has found the back of the net on seven occasions in the league this term.

"It's true that Antonio Adan is having a very good season and Ruben Castro also deserves a lot of credit for maintaining his levels year after year," Mel told reporters.

Betis, who were promoted from the Segunda Division last season, have collected 15 points from their 11 league games in the new campaign.
