Preview: Blackpool vs. Brentford

Sports Mole previews Brenford's trip to Bloomfield Road to face Blackpool in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Blackpool will be hoping to get off the mark in the Championship when Brentford visit Bloomfield Road on Tuesday evening.

The Seasiders, who have struggled to sign new players during the current transfer window, have lost both of their league matches so far this season.

Former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger could make his debut for Jose Riga's side after joining the club on a free transfer yesterday.

The manager has insisted that he still wants to bring in more players before the end of the month, but it is not clear whether they will be arriving in time for this fixture.

Meanwhile, Brentford will be looking to capitalise on Blackpool's woes after being edged out by Bournemouth on Saturday.

Jota, who joined the newly-promoted side from Celta Vigo earlier this week, could make his debut, having been left out of the trip to Dean Court.

Nick Proschwitz could also come into the starting lineup after scoring in the League Cup win over Dagenham and Redbridge, and coming off the bench at the weekend.

This will be the first meeting between these two sides since 2007, when Brentford ran out 3-1 winners.
