Cardiff City have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse.
The Senegal international has been linked with a move away from St James' Park in recent weeks, with a couple of Turkish clubs said to be keen to take him on loan.
However, it has been claimed that the 28-year-old would prefer a permanent switch. That has resulted in the Magpies offering his services to Cardiff, who are in the market for a centre-forward following links with Ross McCormack, Federico Macheda and Adam Le Fondre, according to the Daily Mail.
The report went on to claim that there may not be enough time for the deal to be finalised, although Cardiff are trying to figure out the cost of the whole transfer, including wages.
