Rhys Wiggins: 'Win against Queens Park Rangers is massive'

Charlton Athletic defender Rhys Wiggins hopes that his side's 1-0 win against Queens Park Rangers is a turning point in their season.

Charlton Athletic defender Rhys Wiggins believes that the win against Queens Park Rangers is "massive" to their hopes of avoiding relegation.

Johnnie Jackson grabbed the crucial goal in injury time, and Wiggins is hopeful that the Addicks can use the result to turn their season around.

"It was a massive win. To beat QPR, one of the promotion favourites, shows what we can do and has given us all a massive boost," Wiggins is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

"On the back of this win I can't see why we can't go here and get a win and hopefully that will give us a lift for the rest of the season."

Charlton, who are 22nd in the league, play Leicester City in their next Championship match.
