Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has claimed that Eden Hazard "needs help" if he is to rediscover his form with the Blues.
The 24-year-old played a crucial role in helping the West Londoners to win the Premier League last season and was voted the PFA Player of the Year for his displays.
However, he has been heavily criticised for his performances for Chelsea in the current campaign and has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
"I love Eden Hazard as a player, I was fortunate enough to play with him, his ability is frightening," Lampard told Sky Sports News. "He's come out himself about his level [of performance] this year but I think he needs help.
"I think we forget he's a young boy, he's come onto the scene these last couple of years, he's never had a moment like this in his career. He's never had to worry. He's generally played very well, last year he was creating all season, and was the difference for Chelsea to a big extent.
"At the minute he looks like a player down on his confidence. I know he's a good lad and I think maybe a bit of help [is what he needs]."
Hazard has scored just one goal for the Blues in 12 appearances this season.
