Eden Hazard addresses Real Madrid rumours

Eden Hazard rules out departing Chelsea in January, but concedes that he will have to leave England to be considered the best player in the world.

Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has ruled out leaving Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window but has conceded that he will have to move on to be considered the best player in the world.

Hazard has been in fine form for Chelsea this term, managing eight goals and three assists in 10 appearances in all competitions, with seven of those strikes coming in the Premier League.

The Belgium international - a long-standing Madrid target - will see his Blues contract expire at the end of next season, however, and recently admitted that he 'dreams of moving to the Bernabeu'.

When questioned whether he needs to move to Spain in order to win the Ballon d'Or, Hazard claimed that will more than likely be the case, but the attacker replied "No" when asked about a January exit.

"That's why I want to go - maybe," Sky Sports News quotes Hazard, who is currently on international duty with Belgium, as saying.

Los Blancos reportedly believe that a bid in the region of £65m would be enough to sign Hazard at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
