Alan Pardew dedicates Crystal Palace's win over Aston Villa to Yannick Bolasie

Alan Pardew dedicates Crystal Palace's 2-1 win over Aston Villa to Yannick Bolasie, who is on compassionate leave.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has praised his side's performance in the second half against Aston Villa this afternoon, while dedicating the win to Yannick Bolasie who is on compassionate leave.

Bakary Sako scored late on to give Palace the win after Scott Dann opened the scoring, before Pape Souare's own goal had given Villa hope.

"We got a real grip in the second half," Pardew told BBC Sport. "Villa were terrific today. Regarding the disallowed goal, Macca [James McArthur] was offside when [Dwight] Gayle's shot hit him. The referee got it spot on.

"We've seen the power of Sako in training. This guy has come in to score goals. This win is for Yannick [who was given compassionate leave following a family bereavement]."

Palace's next league match is away to Chelsea next weekend.
