Half-Time Report: Doncaster Rovers leading against 10-man Watford

Doncaster Rovers lead 10-man Watford 1-0 after 45 minutes of their Championship clash at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster Rovers are leading 10-man Watford 1-0 after 45 minutes of their Championship clash at the Keepmoat Stadium this evening.

The visitors had the first chance of the match when Alexander Merkel exchanged passes with Troy Deeney before seeing his shot saved by Sam Johnstone.

In the 19th minute Watford were reduced to 10 men, as Mathias Ranegie kicked out at James Husband and was shown a straight red card.

It did not take Doncaster long to make their numerical advantage count, as six minutes later they took the lead. James Coppinger whipped in a cross that was met by Chris Brown at the front post to head past Jonathan Bond and into the net.

David Cotterill then tried his luck from range for the hosts with a swerving shot after cutting in from the right, but his effort drifted wide of the far post.
