Ipswich Town eye Owen Garvan return on loan?

Ipswich Town are said to be looking into the possibility of bringing Owen Garvan back to the club on loan from Crystal Palace.

Ipswich Town have reportedly expressed an interest in bringing former midfielder Owen Garvan back to the club.

The Irishman was recently omitted from Crystal Palace's 25-man squad for the second half of the Premier League season, despite making 30 league appearances in their promotion from the Championship last term.

According to TWTD.co.uk, the Blues are looking at a loan move for the central midfielder, who appeared more than 150 times for Town between 2005 and 2010 after coming through their youth system.

Blues manager Mick McCarthy is, however, said to be wary of an ongoing knee injury and that could limit the chances of a move.

Garvan would replace former loanee Ryan Tunnicliffe, who last month moved permanently from Manchester United to Fulham.

The loan window opens on Saturday and runs until March 27.
