Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray is not concerned about the future of Ben Brereton Diaz, despite reported interest from Leeds United and Sevilla.

Since receiving his first international call up for Chile in May, the 22-year-old has elevated his game to new heights with 12 goals in 15 Championship appearances so far this season.

Prior to the 2021-22 season, Brereton Diaz was linked with both Leeds and Sevilla, who could be prepared to reignite their interest in January, following the striker's impressive run of form.

However, Mowbray has stated that he is "never worried' about selling any first-team players at the club and hopes Brereton Diaz can stay put at Ewood Park.

"I'm never worried about selling players. What do you think he's worth, £30m? £40m?," Mowbray told Lancashire Live.

"It doesn't matter to me, we have to coach the players we've got. If a Premier League or La Liga club, somewhere Ben wants to go, comes and offers us the money that we think is right – I'm not saying we're in the market to sell Ben Brereton Diaz because we hope to keep him here, he helps us stay near the top end of this league and keeps scoring goals – but he's still only a very young boy."

Brereton Diaz has less than eight months remaining on his contract with Blackburn, and the striker is at risk of leaving the club for free next summer.
