Sergio Ramos "not concerned" about Mohamed Salah fallout

Sergio Ramos insists that he is "not worried" about the reception he receives when Spain face England, amid the ongoing fallout from his challenge on Mohamed Salah.

Real Madrid and Spain centre-back Sergio Ramos has insisted that his "conscience is really clear" over his clash with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah in last season's Champions League final.

Ramos tangled with his opponent in Madrid's 3-1 victory four months ago and left him with a dislocated shoulder, ending the Egyptian forward's evening early in the process and curtailing his World Cup campaign.

The 32-year-old is due to play on English soil for the first time since the incident this weekend when Spain take on England in the UEFA Nations League, but he is not bothered about the reception he receives at Wembley Stadium.

"I'm not really concerned about that [reaction]," he told reporters. "I never wanted to hurt a colleague on the pitch, of course, so my conscience is really clear about what I did that night.

"I'm not going to be affected by that at all. I know the English fans will treat players as they deserve and I'm not worried about that in the slightest."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently hit out at Ramos for his "brutal" game-ending challenge on Salah in the Kiev final.
