Liverpool defender Ben Davies is reportedly determined to fight for his place at the club amid interest from Bournemouth and Celtic.

Liverpool defender Ben Davies is determined to fight for his place at the club amid reported interest from Bournemouth and Celtic.

The 25-year-old joined the Reds in January from Championship side Preston North End, but he has yet to make a single appearance for the club.

Jurgen Klopp recruited the centre-back to provide cover for the injured trio Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, however Nat Phillips, Fabinho and Schalke 04 loanee Ozan Kabak were all picked ahead of him in the starting lineup.

Liverpool have also completed the signing of RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate for around £36m, which could potentially push Davies further down the pecking order.

However, The Mirror reports that Davies intends to stay ay Anfield and will turn down offers to join both Bournemouth and Celtic, who have expressed their interest in the centre-back.

Before joining Liverpool, Davies spent eight years with Preston and made 145 appearances across all competitions, including 19 during the first half of the 2020-21 campaign.
