Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen to tie Kylian Mbappe down to a new deal in order to fend off interest from Liverpool.
The 22-year-old is now in the final 18 months of his deal with the Ligue 1 champions, who recently appointed Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
PSG's sporting director Leonardo previously confirmed that talks are underway regarding an extension for Mbappe, but the forward is yet to pen fresh terms at the Parc des Princes.
With Real Madrid also expected to swoop for Mbappe in the summer transfer window, L'Equipe claim that PSG's primary focus is tying the France international down to a new deal as a matter of urgency.
The report adds that Liverpool have already touched base with Mbappe's entourage ahead of a potential transfer, but the youngster recently affirmed that he will consult with his family before making any decisions on his future.
Mbappe boasts 14 goals and seven assists for PSG across all competitions in the current campaign.
