Manchester City are reportedly weighing up a move for Atletico Madrid defender Renan Lodi.
The 22-year-old has failed to nail down a regular spot in Diego Simeone's starting lineup this term and has appeared in just eight La Liga games, starting five of them.
Lodi is under contract at the Wanda Metropolitano until 2025, but his lack of consistent starts for the La Liga high-flyers could supposedly tempt him to seek pastures new in the near future.
According to the Daily Mail, Man City manager Pep Guardiola is keeping close tabs on the left-back as doubts remain over Benjamin Mendy's consistency.
However, the report adds that a January deal for Lodi is unlikely to materialise as the coronavirus pandemic restricts clubs' abilities to finance big-money moves in the current transfer window.
Lodi has made 58 appearances for Atletico since arriving from Athletico Paranaense last summer, scoring one goal and assisting four more.
