Richard Keys: 'Romelu Lukaku has made a bigger impact than Paul Pogba'

Romelu Lukaku has made a bigger impact at Manchester United than Paul Pogba, according to ex-Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys.

Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has claimed that Romelu Lukaku has made more of an impact than Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba.

The Belgian striker moved to Old Trafford in the summer from Everton for a £75m fee, a year after Pogba signed from Juventus in a then-world record £89m switch.

The France international, who left United in 2012 on a free transfer, failed to live up to his price tag, with many criticising his first season at the Premier League giants.

In contrast, Lukaku has hit the ground running by scoring 10 goals in as many appearances in all competitions, but his performance against Liverpool in Saturday's goalless draw has come under fire.

According to The Mirror, in defence of the 24-year-old, beIN Sports presenter Keys said: "Lukaku is a class act. He's had a far bigger impact on United already than his mate Pogba. He is not a flat track bully. Ask Evertonians if their team is missing him.

"Lukaku had one big chance on Saturday. He knows he should've done better with it. Let's say he had. Let's say he'd scored the games only goal. Would that have made him the best player in the pitch? Of course not. The fact he didn't score doesn't make him the worst on the pitch either."

United are unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions this season.
