Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Kostas Tsimikas and Calvin Ramsey are not included in Liverpool's initial 37-man squad for their pre-season tour of Thailand and Singapore.

Liverpool quintet Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Kostas Tsimikas and Calvin Ramsey have not been included in Jurgen Klopp's initial 37-man squad for their pre-season tour of Thailand and Singapore.

The Reds are scheduled to face Manchester United and Crystal Palace in Asia this week before returning to Europe to take on RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg later this month.

Salah, Alisson, Fabinho and Tsimikas are all absent from the original squad as they have been granted more time off, but will join up with the rest of the team at a later date, while Klopp has revealed that summer recruit Ramsey has picked up an injury that requires treatment.

"Unfortunately, Calvin is now not training with us in the moment, he has a little injury. Nobody knew, we found it when he did his medical check. Until today he has no problems," Klopp told reporters, via the Daily Mirror.

"But the medical department tells us if we don't take care for that now, he will have a problem in the future. So, when you are that young then of course he has a long career ahead of him, so we are very responsible in these moments."

Neco Williams is also missing from the squad after completing a permanent transfer to Nottingham Forest, while teenage starlet Kaide Gordon and goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher are two more players who will not fly out to the Far East.

However, summer signings Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho have both been included along with the likes of captain Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool's pre-season squad in full:

Adrian, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic, Fabio Carvalho, Luke Chambers, Bobby Clark, Leighton Clarkson, Harvey Davies, Luis Diaz, Harvey Elliott, Roberto Firmino, Melkamu Frauendorf, Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson, Tom Hill, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, Naby Keita, Ibrahima Konate, Issac Mabaya, Joel Matip, James Milner, Tyler Morton, Fabian Mrozek, James Norris, Darwin Nunez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Nat Phillips, Andrew Robertson, Thiago Alcantara, Sepp van den Berg, Virgil van Dijk, Rhys Williams
