Inter Milan could swoop for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial if Romelu Lukaku completes an expected move to Chelsea, according to a report.
Chelsea and Inter have reportedly come to an agreement over a £97.5m transfer for Lukaku, who is now set to undergo a medical with the Champions League winners over the weekend.
The Nerazzurri are already said to be identifying potential replacements for Lukaku, with Edin Dzeko, Dusan Vlahovic and Duvan Zapata thought to be on a three-man shortlist of candidates.
Now, The Mirror claims that Inter are ready to try again for Martial, whom they tried and failed to prise away from Old Trafford in the summer of 2019.
The report adds that United are happy to let the Frenchman leave on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy, but they are prepared to demand close to the £50m they paid Monaco for him in 2015.
Martial - whose Red Devils deal does not expire until 2024 - scored seven goals and set up nine more in 36 appearances during an injury-hit 2020-21 season.
