Real Madrid injury, suspension news vs. AC Milan: Will Rodrygo, Thibaut Courtois be available?

Sports Mole looks at Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League clash with AC Milan.

Real Madrid will be aiming to return to winning ways when they welcome AC Milan to Bernabeu in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Los Blancos were due to tackle Valencia in La Liga on Saturday evening, but the contest was postponed due to the devastating floods in Spain, so their last game proved to be the 4-0 loss to Barcelona in El Clasico on October 26.

Carlo Ancelotti's side recorded a 5-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund in their last Champions League fixture on October 22, and a total of six points from three matches has left them in 12th spot in the Champions League table.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Milan, who sit down in 25th spot in the division, having only picked up three points from three matches.

Thibaut Courtois

Status: Out
Type of injury: Adductor
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Leganes)

Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois suffered an adductor injury while facing Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, and the Belgium international is unlikely to return until after the international break.

Rodrygo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Leganes)

Rodrygo also missed El Clasico due to the thigh problem that he suffered against Dortmund, with the Brazilian being forced off in the latter stages of the Champions League fixture, and he is not expected back until the end of next month.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Real Madrid will be without the services of Carvajal for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign due to the severe knee injury that the right-back suffered in the recent clash with Villarreal.

David Alaba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Alaba suffered an ACL injury last December, which has required two operations to fix; the defender has made progress in his recovery, but it is now thought to be unlikely that he will return before the end of 2024.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid have no players suspended for the Champions League clash with Milan.
