Darren Anderton: Spurs have "lots of quality"

Darren Anderton is confident that Tottenham Hotspur's squad is good enough to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Darren Anderton has claimed that his old side have the quality in the squad to challenge for the Premier League's top four.

Anderton said that the players are motivated to play for Tim Sherwood and the key to their success will be keeping Emmanuel Adebayor in top form.

"When it comes down to [the top four battle], it's all about the squad - and Spurs have got a very strong squad with lots of talent and lots of quality players," Sky Sports News quotes Anderton as saying. "There's a new buzz about the place, there's lot of positivity - and they're playing good football.

"Of course Emmanuel Adebayor has come back in - that was a masterstroke by Tim to get him back on board and playing well. At the moment they look like a very good team."

Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League, level on points with Liverpool.
