Sunday's Tottenham Hotspur transfer talk news roundup: Davinson Sanchez, Joe Gomez, Jerome Boateng

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Tottenham on Sunday, November 15.

The summer transfer window has now closed, with Tottenham Hotspur having enjoyed one of their busiest and most exciting windows to date.

Gareth Bale made his return to the club on loan from Real Madrid, while Spurs also spent big on the likes of Sergio Reguilon, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Matt Doherty in addition to loaning Carlos Vinicius. Attention will now switch to the January window as Jose Mourinho continues to mould his squad.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Sunday morning's Tottenham Hotspur transfer talk news roundup:

Liverpool 'make contact with Davinson Sanchez'

Liverpool have allegedly contacted the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur's Davinson Sanchez to express an interest in signing the central defender.

The Premier League champions have lost both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez to long-term knee injuries, meaning that a new centre-back is expected to arrive at Anfield during the January transfer window.

A recent report claimed that the Reds had identified RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano as their leading target, but the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United are also said to be in the hunt for the Frenchman.

According to reports in Spain, Liverpool are also keen on Sanchez and have already made contact with the Colombia international to register their interest.

The 24-year-old has made 126 appearances for Spurs since arriving from Ajax in 2017 but has largely struggled to hold down a starting role on a consistent basis.

The South American, who has a contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until June 2024, has not even made the squad for his team's last three Premier League matches.

Jose Mourinho's side are thought to value the defender in the region of €60m (£54m).

Jerome Boateng "surprised" by Premier League talk

Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng has admitted that he has been left "surprised" by the recent speculation surrounding his future.

The 32-year-old has spent the last nine years with Bayern, making close to 350 appearances in all competitions, winning eight Bundesliga titles and two Champions League trophies in the process.

The Germany international's contract at the Allianz Arena will expire next summer, though, and there have been suggestions that he could seek pastures new.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have recently been credited with an interest, but the experienced defender has insisted that he has not thought about potentially leaving the treble winners.

"Nobody approached me, nobody spoke to me, I didn't know anything about it, I was surprised," Boateng told Suddeutsche Zeitung.

The former Hertha Berlin youngster represented Manchester City during the 2010-11 campaign, making 24 appearances for the Citizens, winning the FA Cup during his only season at the club.
