Great Britain record a 3-0 win over Israel in the Fed Cup to edge to the World Group.

Great Britain have secured their qualification for the Fed Cup Euro/Africa Zone promotion play-offs by beating Israel 3-0.

Anne Keothavong defeated Julia Glushko 6-2 6-1 in the opening rubber before British number one Elena Baltacha battled past Shahar Peer 6-4 6-3 to open up a two-match advantage.

Heather Watson and Laura Robson then teamed up in the doubles to see off the challenge from Glushko and Keren Shlomo 6-2 6-1.

"All our girls have played every day and they've proved that they're a winning team," said team captain Judy Murray.

"They showed some fantastic competitive spirit and have done tremendously well to get through as group winners."

Great Britain face Austria this afternoon for a place in the World Group.
