Massimiliano Allegri unsure over AC Milan future

AC Milan coach Massimilano Allegri insists that his side gave everything against Chievo, but is unsure if the goalless draw will keep him in the job.

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that he remains unsure if he will remain in charge at the San Siro in the long term following this afternoon's 0-0 draw with AC Chievo Verona.

The Rossoneri made it six matches without a league win on the road after drawing a blank in Verona, leaving themselves 10th in Serie A and 15 points off the Champions League places.

When asked if the performance had been enough to secure his future with Milan, he told Sky Sport Italia: "If the club thinks this team needs another coach, then they'll let me know.

"The lads played well, created a great deal and didn't allow many chances, which wasn't easy. We needed to score, we didn't score, but if we had then the view of the overall performance would've changed. It was a good performance."

"I look at what happens on the field. The lads created several scoring opportunities against a Chievo side that was clammed up into its own half, so I could not have expected more."

A draw with Serie A's bottom club means that Milan have now gone four matches without a win in all competitions.
