Laurent Koscielny frustrated by Arsenal's Champions League exit

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny challenges his teammates to add some consistency to their game on the European stage following their Champions League exit last night.

Laurent Koscielny has admitted that Arsenal left themselves with too much to do against Monaco last night following a "catastrophic" first-leg performance.

The Gunners trailed 3-1 heading into the Stade Louis II showdown, requiring three unanswered goals to overcome the Ligue 1 outfit.

A solid performance from Arsenal saw them come close to achieving that feat as goals from Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey sealed a 2-0 win on the night, but in the end it was too little too late.

"We say the same thing every year," Koscielny is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "Our first game is catastrophic. We have to put it right - play well in two games."

Arsenal have now exited the Champions League at the last-16 stage for the past five years running.
