An Arsenal protest group plans to unfurl an anti-Wenger banner at the Emirates this Sunday.

Arsenal fans are planning to protest against Arsene Wenger at the Emirates this Sunday.

The Frenchman is under increasing pressure after guiding the London club to their worst start in the Premier League, and one fan organisation is planning to voice their displeasure at the Sunderland game this weekend.

"Wenger is a cancer at our club, killing us slowly," Michael Barnett, head of 'Arsenal FC not PLC', told talkSPORT. "The longer Wenger is in charge the worse we will get. We want Wenger out because of the last six years of failure and we feel he keeps making the same mistakes, year on year.

"Most want him out and feel strongly that his time is finished at the club. The rest take his past as proof that he can solve the current problems, which nobody is happy with, but we feel that he has been making the same mistakes for far too long."

The group is planning to unfurl a banner that reads "Arsene, thanks for the memories but it is time to say goodbye".

A spokesperson for Arsenal said the club are aware of the plans and intend to confiscate the banner if it is displayed in the ground.
