Jose Mourinho: Arsene Wenger will "accept" Kieran Gibbs's red card

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claims that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be able to "accept" a case of mistaken identity for Kieran Gibbs's red card.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be able to "accept" a case of mistaken identity for Kieran Gibbs's red card in the Blues' win this afternoon.

Mourinho's men hammered the Gunners 6-0 in a game that saw the defender given his marching orders, despite Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain committing the first-half handball offence.

The Portuguese coach told BT Sport: "This is the kind of mistake that every manager accepts.

"The referee couldn't see who [handled it], and his officials couldn't help him. The important decision is it was a penalty and it was a sending-off."

The win leaves Mourinho's side seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.
