Andre Schurrle: 'Our plan worked well'

Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle claims that his side's game plan against Arsenal worked perfectly.

Andre Schurrle has admitted that he is pleased that Chelsea were able to execute their game plan in Saturday's win over Arsenal.

The German forward scored the second goal as the Blues netted six times without reply against their title rivals at Stamford Bridge.

Schurrle has claimed that the Chelsea players knew exactly how the Gunners would play.

"We knew their full-backs are very offensive and go forward a lot," The Sun quotes him as saying.

"And when they lose the ball you have the chance to take advantage of the transition because they leave a lot of space. We wanted to use it. We had a lot of very good transition and we did it. That was our plan.

"We knew there would be a lot of space and I wanted to use that."

The win moved Chelsea four points clear at the top of the Premier League.
