Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called on his charges to finish the Premier League season in second place while continuing to play high-quality football and make progress as a team.
The Gunners edged level on points with second-placed Manchester City after a 3-1 win away at Hull City on Monday night that stretched their unbeaten run in the league to 10 games.
Wenger told BBC Sport after the game: "We created some good moments today, overall I could see a good mix between focus, fluency and confidence - and with the technical qualities we have we created some good moments.
"It is all about finishing second for us, step by step, I believe now we are certain to make the top four and now it is about finishing second but even more so to keep the quality high and concentrate on the next game. Being in the cup final helps us to keep our concentration but I feel we have made progress and we want to continue to develop as a team.
"Jack Wilshere returned and had a good game in his 25 minutes so that is a big positive. Aaron Ramsey got a big kick and that is swollen but it should not be too bad."
Arsenal last finished in the top two of the Premier League in 2005.
