Arsenal have reportedly held talks with Luis Enrique as they line him up as a potential replacement for Unai Emery.
The North London club lost 2-0 to Leicester City on Saturday, a result that took them to just one win in their last six Premier League games and increased the pressure on the former Sevilla coach.
Reports in Spain now indicate that Arsenal's head of football Raul Sanllehi sees Enrique as an ideal replacement and that he met with him last week.
The 49-year-old won nine trophies during his three years in charge at Barcelona, including a famous treble in his first season.
Enrique was appointed Spain boss in July 2018 but was forced to step down earlier this year as his young daughter passed away from a rare form of bone cancer.
Prior to taking that post, he had been on Arsenal's shortlist of managers to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium.
