Arsenal have been given a big boost in their long-running pursuit of Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi, according to a report.
The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the past and recently reiterated that he wants to leave Sevilla.
Spanish outlet AS claims that new Gunners boss Unai Emery, who spent three successful years with Los Rojiblancos, has made his intention to sign the France international known.
Sevilla have now turned to Real Madrid's Marcos Llorente as a midfielder replacement, with N'Zonzi free to leave if his £35m release clause is triggered.
The same report suggests that Emery will first offload a player to make room for N'Zonzi's arrival, though, having been given a small budget to work with during his first summer in charge.
