Arsenal to bid £30m for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony?

Arsenal are reportedly mulling over a £30m move for out-of-favour Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.

Manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be hunting for a forward player following his failure to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City.

The Gunners have reportedly made approaches for Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette and Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi, but have so far been unsuccessful.

Now, according to the Daily Star, Arsenal have switched their attention to Bony, but Wenger has some doubts due to the Ivorian scoring just 10 goals following his move to the Etihad Stadium last January.

City manager Pep Guardiola suggested that Bony is available to leave after recently mentioning that the striker and defender Eliaquim Mangala are only part of the squad "at the moment".

Bony scored 34 goals in 56 starts during his two-year stay at Swansea City.
