Arsenal reportedly register their interest in former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, who has not reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain despite previous claims.

Arsenal have reportedly asked to be kept up to date with the latest developments surrounding the future of Sergio Ramos.

The veteran Spaniard is currently a free agent after ending his glittering 16-year spell at Real Madrid, and he is not expected to be short of suitors despite turning 36 next year.

Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be leading the race for Ramos, and a recent report claimed that the French powerhouses are ready to tie the centre-back down to a one-year deal at the Parc des Princes.

However, Goal claims PSG and Ramos have not reached an agreement just yet, and Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the situation with a view to a possible swoop.

The same report indicates that the Gunners' lack of European football could harm their aspirations of a deal for Ramos, who is keeping his options open despite his admiration for and contact with PSG.

The defender left the Bernabeu after winning four Champions League crowns and five La Liga titles, as well as scoring over 100 goals for Los Blancos.
