Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly ready to leave Arsenal after pulling out of contract talks with the club.
The Gabonese international's deal with the Gunners runs until the summer of 2021 but he had been discussing fresh terms with the club in recent months.
The Mirror reports that the former Borussia Dortmund striker has withdrawn from these talks as a result of Arsenal's dismal form and his desire to be playing for a club where he can play in the Champions League and win trophies.
Unai Emery seemingly tried to appease the 30-year-old's desire to further his career earlier in the season when he gave him the captaincy after taking it away from Granit Xhaka.
A number of top European clubs, including Real Madrid, have been linked with Aubameyang during the season thus far and it is likely that Arsenal would be inundated with offers should he look to secure a move away from North London.
The former Saint-Etienne star has scored 53 goals in 83 games for the Gunners since joining them for £56m in January 2018.
