Fulham manager Martin Jol has reportedly made fresh contact with Arsenal about the availability of Andrey Arshavin.
The Russian playmaker is out of contract at the Emirates this summer and has been consistently linked with a move to Premier League strugglers Reading.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has made a concerted effort to clear the decks in North London at the beginning of January, with Johan Djourou and Marouane Chamakh both sent out on loan last week.
Jol wanted Arshavin last summer and believes that he can persuade the 31-year-old to stay in the capital, according to The Mirror.
