Atalanta BC and Napoli are both keen on signing Sheffield United's Sander Berge this summer, according to a report.

Atalanta BC and Napoli are reportedly both keen on signing Sheffield United's Sander Berge.

The 23-year-old missed the majority of the 2020-21 campaign due to injury, with the midfielder making just 15 appearances for the Blades, contributing one goal and one assist in the process.

Berge is expected to leave Bramall Lane this summer following Sheffield United's relegation to the second tier, and both Arsenal and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in his services.

However, according to The Sun, there is also genuine interest from Serie A in the shape of Atalanta and Napoli, with both clubs preparing to make approaches for the Norwegian.

The report claims that the Serie A duo want to sign Berge on loan for the 2021-22 campaign before potentially acquiring him on a permanent basis for £30m next summer.

The midfielder, who is allegedly not prepared to play in the Championship next season, is believed to have a £35m release clause in his current deal with the Blades.
