Ten European clubs hit by Financial Fair Play sanctions

Monaco and Roma are among seven clubs to have their European squads capped for next season after breaching Financial Fair Play rules.

Seven clubs have had their European squads capped for next season after breaching Financial Fair Play rules.

Champions League quarter-finalists AS Monaco and Italian giants Roma are among the teams to have been punished in the same way that Manchester City were this term.

Monaco, Roma, Besiktas, Kuban Krasnodar, Lokomotiv Moscow, and Sporting Lisbon can only name 22 players in next season's Champions League or Europa League squads.

Inter Milan also face the same sanctions, but may not qualify for Europe by virtue of their mid-table position in Serie A.

Each club has agreed to meet financial targets and a total sum to pay UEFA, while all except for Sporting are limited to the number of new players that they can register.

CSKA Sofia, Kardemir Karabukspor and Rostov have all accepted lesser punishments.
