Aston Villa's Jordan Veretout praises Jordan Ayew quality

Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout believes that striker Jordan Ayew will continue to build on his bright start to life in the Premier League in the coming weeks.

Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout has praised the quality of striker Jordan Ayew despite the club's struggles this season.

Ayew signed for the Midlands team in the summer, along with Veretout, in a £8.4m move from Ligue 1 outfit Lorient.

The Ghana international has enjoyed a decent start to life in the Premier League, notching three goals in 11 appearances, but Veretout believes that his teammate will only continue to improve over the rest of the campaign.

The 22-year-old told the club's official website: "I have been very impressed with Jordan. I think he is getting better every week - and he is scoring goals for the team and contributing a lot overall.

"Jordan is a real fighter. That's a very good quality he has. He is also very clean technically. He is excellent on the ball and has real precision with his passing - and it's also tough for defenders to get him off the ball.

"He makes very good decisions on the ball offensively too."

Villa face Arsenal in their Premier League clash on Sunday.
