Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert believes that Roberto Martinez has done a good job since taking over as manager of Everton.
The Spanish coach was named as David Moyes's successor in May and has guided the Toffees to seventh place in the Premier League while losing just one game so far this season.
Lambert and his team welcome the Merseyside outfit to Villa Park on Saturday and although the Scot acknowledges that it will be a difficult match, he is counting on home-field advantage to secure the points.
"I know this will be a hard game as Everton have been going well," the 44-year-old told reporters.
"They have a different way of playing now. It was probably a good club to go in at that time but Roberto has done well.
"It'll be a hard game but we're at home."
Villa are 13th in the table.
