Neil Taylor 'completes medical ahead of move from Swansea City to Aston Villa'

Swansea City defender Neil Taylor reportedly completes a medical ahead of a £4m move to Aston Villa.

Aston Villa's move for Swansea City's Neil Taylor is reportedly close to being finalised after the defender completed a medical today.

The 27-year-old has been part of the Swans setup for almost seven years following his switch from Wrexham in 2010.

The defender has made more than 150 appearances for the Welsh outfit, but he has featured in exactly half of Swansea's 22 Premier League games this season.

It appears as though Taylor will close the door on his career at the Liberty Stadium as he has had a medical ahead of a £4m transfer to Villa, according to The Mirror.

The report adds that Taylor has agreed a four-and-a-half year deal to be part of Steve Bruce's squad, who currently sit 13th in the Championship.

Swansea are just two points above the relegation zone in the Premier League.
