Striker Luciano Vietto starts for Atletico Madrid in their Champions League fixture with Benfica.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has opted to start Luciano Vietto in their Champions League fixture with Benfica.

The 22-year-old has made just four starts in all competitions this season, scoring two goals, but he has been given the nod for tonight's clash in Portugal.

Stefan Savic, who was only a substitute at the weekend, returns to the centre of defence.

Benfica have made three alterations to the team that started their last European fixture against Astana two weeks ago.

Nicolas Gaitan is back after serving a one-match suspension, while Andre Almeida and Ljubomir Fejsa also feature in the team.

Subs: Ederson, Lindelof, Samaris, Talisca, Carcela, Raul Jiméenez, Mitroglou.

Atletico Madrid: Oblak, Juanfran, Savic, Godin, Filipe Luis; Saul, Gabi, Koke, Griezmann, Vietto, Carrasco
Subs: Moya, Siqueira, Gimenez, Oliver Torres, Thomas, Torres, Correa
