A 1-1 draw on the night at the Estadio Benito Villamarin sees Atletico Madrid beat Real Betis 3-1 on aggregate in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

Atletico Madrid have moved into the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Real Betis.

A 1-1 draw on the night at the Estadio Benito Villamarin was enough to send Diego Simeone's side into the last four of the competition.

Madrid took the lead in first-half injury time as Betis goalkeeper Casto Barriga let a header from his own defender slip through his hands, allowing Diego Costa to tap in.

Barriga redeemed himself at the start of the second half when he pushed away Arda Turan's goal-bound drive.

The hosts levelled the match in the last minute as Jorge Molina converted from the penalty spot following Diego Godin's foul on the forward.

However, it was not enough for Betis as Atletico progressed into the semis where they will face Sevilla.
