Luis Suarez scored his first La Liga goal for Barcelona as the Catalan outfit beat Cordoba 5-0 in La Liga on Saturday.

The Uruguay international added Barca's second after Pedro had opened the scoring, before Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi (2) got in on the act in the final 10 minutes.

BARCELONA

Goal

Claudio Bravo: Did not have much to worry about in terms of attempts on goal, but the Chilean commanded his box and was also comfortable in possession of the ball. (6/10)

Defence

Martin Montoya: Is the right-back now staying at the Camp Nou? Handed a rare start and impressed with an energetic and solid performance on the right of the defence. (7/10)

Gerard Pique: Netted his second league goal of the season with a towering header late on. Seems to be returning to his best form after a difficult start to the season. (7/10)

Javier Mascherano: No-frills performance from the Argentine, who never looked flustered despite the obvious threat of Cordoba's on-loan striker Nabil Ghilas. (7/10)

Jordi Alba: Should have scored in the first period after breaking into the box. Played almost as a left-winger and was always involved in the final third of the field. (7/10)

Midfield

Sergio Busquets: Kept things ticking over in the middle of the park, but was not really needed in a defensive shape. Solid enough from the Spanish international. (6/10)

Ivan Rakitic: Set up Pedro with a brilliant pass inside two minutes, but drifted in and out of the match. Needs to rediscover his early-season form for Barcelona. (7/10)

Andres Iniesta: Had a couple of half-chances in the first period, but could not take advantage. As usual, the Spaniard was classy in possession of the ball. (7/10)

Attack

Luis Suarez: Finally netted his first league goal for Barca with a clever close-range finish. Always involved and always a threat to the Cordoba defence. (7/10)

Lionel Messi: Actually had a fairly quiet match until the final 10 minutes, when he netted a brace. The second in particular was a stunning individual piece of skill. (7/10)

Pedro: Man-of-the-match performance from the Spaniard, who opened the scoring before setting up Suarez for Barca's second. A constant threat to the Cordoba defence. (8/10)

Substitutes

Xavi: Replaced Rakitic after 65 minutes and made his influence known - setting up Pique with a brilliant free kick for Barca's third goal of the match. (7/10)

Rafinha: Showed bits and pieces during his 15 minutes on the field. (6/10)

CORDOBA

Goal

Juan Carlos: Made some decent saves, especially in the first period and had little protection from his back four. (6/10)

Defence

Eduard Campabadal: Did his best to break forward, but the visitors simply did not have enough of the ball. Found it difficult to deal with Barcelona's front three. (6/10)

Inigo Lopez: Was actually one of his side's better players in the first half, but the defender was forced to leave the field of play with an injury after 60 minutes. (6/10)

Aleksandar Pantic: Decent enough in possession of the ball, but the centre-back got caught out of position in the second 45 minutes. (6/10)

Jose Crespo: Was a touch fortunate to escape a booking following a couple of late challenges. Was part of a defence that went to sleep in the final 10 minutes. (5/10)

Midfield

Deivid: Given licence to join Ghilas in the final third, but struggled to get into the match. Not the first player to struggle to make an impression against Barcelona. (5/10)

Patrick Ekeng: Put himself about in the middle of the park, but needed more from those around him. (6/10)

Luso: Captain for the afternoon, but the midfielder could not inspire his side. Was also guilty of some untidiness in possession of the ball. (5/10)

Borja Garcia: On-loan Real Madrid midfielder showed some quality in possession of the ball, but struggled to make a serious mark in the final third. (6/10)

Fede Cartabia: Quite comfortably his side's biggest threat in the final third. Caused problems with his pace and movement, but decision-making needed to be better. (7/10)

Attack

Nabil Ghilas: Has been the undoubted star for Cordoba this season, but the on-loan Porto striker could not take advantage of a couple of good chances at the Camp Nou. (6/10)

Substitutes

Daniel Pinillos: Replaced Inigo Lopez on the hour mark, but was ultimately part of a defence that conceded three times in the final 10 minutes. (5/10)

Fausto Rossi: Was a surprise that the Italian did not start at the Camp Nou. Put in a tidy performance during his 20 minutes on the field. (6/10)

Silva Lopez: Given the final 15 minutes, but the game passed him by. (5/10)
