Preview: Barcelona vs. Cordoba

Sports Mole looks ahead to Saturday's La Liga game between Barcelona and Cordoba.

Cordoba stand in the way on Saturday as Barcelona look to take advantage of Real Madrid's trip to the Club World Cup.

Barcelona head into the weekend four points behind the La Liga leaders, but are firm favourites to close the gap when they play host to a struggling Cordoba side.

Luis Enrique will have a fresher squad to pick from after leaving out a number of his key players for the 8-1 thrashing of Huesca in the Copa del Rey.

The fringe players did impress in the cup competition, and Pedro will consider himself unfortunate if he does not start on Saturday after scoring a hat-trick against Huesca.

However, Enrique is expected to continue with the attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, with the Brazilian forward pushing to be fit after suffering an ankle injury recently.

Cordoba have only managed to win one of their previous six games, and they are currently sitting in the relegation zone ahead of their final game before the winter break.
