Barcelona vice-president Jordi Cardoner has dismissed reports that the club have agreed a deal to bring Neymar to the Nou Camp in 2014.
Barcelona, who are among a host of clubs who have been linked with the Santos striker, were reported to have paid over £8m to the South American champions in order to secure first refusal on the Brazilian earlier this month.
However, the Catalan club's VP insists that no such agreement is in place.
"To my knowledge we did not pay €10m to have a preferential option for Neymar," he told RAC 1.
"If we're talking about [Neymar] it is because he is a player considered qualified to be a part of this team. Our technicians will decide."
Neymar, 19, has already made 15 appearances for the national side and scored eight goals.
