Bayern Munich team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Werder Bremen

Sports Mole rounds up Bayern Munich's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga showdown with Werder Bremen.

Bayern Munich will be looking to make it 11 consecutive wins in all competitions when they continue their 2020-21 Bundesliga campaign at home to Werder Bremen on Saturday.

Hansi Flick's side won a crucial encounter with Borussia Dortmund 3-2 prior to the international break, moving three points clear of their rivals in the table in the process as well as remaining two points ahead of RB Leipzig.

After narrowly surviving relegation in a playoff with Heidenheim last season, Bremen have started this season more convincingly, losing only one of seven games and drawing 1-1 four times in a row to occupy a top-half position.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Bayern's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Florian Kohfeldt's side at the Allianz Arena.

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: January 8 (vs. Borussia Monchengladbach)

Joshua Kimmich sustained meniscus damage when attempting to tackle Erling Braut Haaland during the first half of the victory over Dortmund on November 6, with the Germany international expected to be out until the New Year.

Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 5 (vs. RB Leipzig)

Alphonso Davies was subbed off after just three minutes of Bayern's 5-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on October 24 and was confirmed to have suffered a torn ankle ligament. The Canada left-back is expected to be ready for first-team action again in early December.

Corentin Tolisso

Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Werder Bremen)

Corentin Tolisso withdrew from the French national team squad on November 15, with France manager Didier Deschamps later confirming that it was only a "slight problem" and "nothing serious," so the midfielder should be ready to replace Kimmich in the first XI against Bremen.
