Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has claimed that Schalke 04's approach did not warrant a positive result in the 1-1 draw between the two sides at the Allianz Arena.
Despite losing Jerome Boateng to a red card in the first half, Bayern took the lead through Robben's header before Benedikt Howedes claimed a point for the visitors.
However, Robben believes that the Bundesliga leaders deserved a victory after playing the majority of the match with 10 men.
"This result is very annoying. Schalke did not do anything all game. They did not deserve a good result. We put in a pretty good performance against an ultra-defensive team, even if we were a man down," the Dutchman told Sky.
"We take the lead and then we allow Howedes, who is their strongest player in the air, too much freedom at a corner. You have to give your all in a situation like that and be willing to put your life on the line.
"We have to be very critical of ourselves. We want to keep improving and make progress. Conceding a goal like that could be fatal in the Champions League."
Bayern head coach Pep Guardiola claimed that he was "very, very satisfied" with the draw.
