Preview: Bayern Munich vs. Nuremberg

Sports Mole looks ahead to Saturday's all-Bavarian clash between Bayern Munich and Nuremberg at the Allianz Arena.

Nurnberg make the dreaded trip to Bayern Munich on Saturday having lost to their Bavarian rivals more than any other club in the Bundesliga.

Die Roten triumphed 4-0 in this fixture in April, with Jerome Boateng, Mario Gomez, Rafinha and Xherdan Shaqiri scoring the goals.

With the shield already in the bag, former coach Jupp Heynckes gave a few of his fringe players a run out following their Champions League quarter-final victory over Juventus.

New boss Pep Guardiola has hinted that Mario Gotze is getting closer to his eagerly-anticipated debut, and that could mean Shaqiri is the man who drops out should the former Borussia Dortmund star earn a start.

The Spanish coach has guided his team to two wins out of two so far. Nuremberg also remain unbeaten this season but have drawn both of their matches - against Hoffenheim and Hertha Berlin - 2-2.

Per Nilsson is likely to be sidelined with a hamstring problem, while Marcos Antonio is a long-term absentee with a cartilage injury.

Michael Wiesinger and Armin Reutershahn are not short of options in attack though, with reported Aston Villa target Hiroshi Kiyotake expected to start in midfield.

Recent form:

Sports Mole says: 3-0
