Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean is reportedly eager to sign Queens Park Rangers forward Jamie Mackie.
The 26-year-old, who scored seven goals for the Hoops last season, has slipped down the pecking order at Loftus Road in recent months following the arrivals of Djibril Cisse, Bobby Zamora and summer signing Andy Johnson.
Rangers are understood to have agreed personal terms with former Rovers winger Junior Hoilett, however the two clubs must agree a fee for his transfer in order to avoid a tribunal settling the issue.
Kean is a big fan of Mackie and hopes to negotiate a swap deal to bring him to Ewood Park, according to The Mirror.
"There are plenty of good players down there," said Kean. "But we are finding out that clubs like to keep their best players."
Mackie has been capped five times at senior international level by Scotland, scoring two goals.
