Blackburn Rovers are reportedly close to signing Brazilian striker Edinho Junior.
The 18-year-old, who currently plays his club football with Portuguese side Olhanense, has been on trial with the Championship club over the past few days.
He impressed enough to earn a place in the Rovers team that took on Accrington Stanley yesterday afternoon and his performance against the League Two side has convinced manager Steve Kean to offer him a contract, according to reports in Portugal.
The youngster's father, also Edinho, had spells in Britain with Bradford City and Dunfermline.
Celtic were also said to be interested in the teenager.
