Report: Owen Coyle to replace Jose Riga at Blackpool

Blackpool are reportedly lining up Owen Coyle to replace Jose Riga as their manager following their poor start to the campaign.

Owen Coyle is in line to be the next manager of Blackpool as current boss Jose Riga is close to leaving the club, according to a report.

The Tangerines have failed to pick up a single point so far in the Championship season after five games of the campaign.

The poor start has left Riga on the brink of being sacked by chairman Karl Oyston, and Coyle has been lined up to replace the Belgian in an attempt to turn their season around, reports The Mirror.

Coyle has been out of the game since he left Wigan Athletic by mutual consent last season as the club struggled in the bottom half of the Championship.

Blackpool face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next Championship clash on Saturday.
